This coming year, PBC will be involved in numerous planting projects for both food and pollinator forage. Many of us are choosing to use our sidewalk strips and driveways as “educational zones.” With some fun signage, we can invite folks to look for different kinds of bees on our flowers, or highlight our monarch milkweed plantings, or remind folks that weeds feed bees!
Local club member and PBC secretary Debbie Nagano is also an artist, and she came up with a really fun idea! Here it is:

OFFERS FUN BEE-SIGN WORKSHOP
Come and paint a bee-centric garden sign with Preservation Beekeeping. We will supply everything you need, including 8×8 inch wooden signs and stakes, paints, brushes, palettes (paper plates actually), tracing paper and reference drawings (or bring your own). You can follow along and paint my Starry Night Bee or do your own thing.
The cost is $20 per person with all proceeds after costs to PBC. Grab a cup of coffee and a snack to share if you’d like. The workshop is limited to 20 people, so reserve a spot if you want to attend.
